Finally got the C30 down to 0-60mph in 5.3 seconds, measured with Dash Command.

52°F, dryish weather, with better tires than I was using before. Flat road with the best launch I've ever done. I tried it again and I couldn't get anything better than a 5.9.

Definitely saving this number for my personal record books. :D

^^How easy is it to temporarily use this on another car, a.k.a. mine? I wanna know my 0-60 time!

We'll do it at the next meet! The device works in our 850, so I'm sure it'll work in your car too, just so long as the V70 provides sufficient data through the OBDII.

I learned so much by going to Lincoln, NE. They had a workshop on rebuilding shocks and history of shocks. So eye opening on how suspension dynamics work

Got the new shocks put on. They are a bit shorter than the H&R shocks... But the ride quality is a night and day difference! The back end is a lot less bouncy and feels more planted through the bumpy turns. Compared to the H&Rs, these are a lot more comfortable as well.

I refinished my spare Peg with a textured silver. This will be a little more durable to the things I throw on top of it.

Also got a new toy for AutoX and the Dragon!

Nice! I need to figure out a way to neatly stow the "R" space saver - I need it to clear the F&R BBK's.....
At first I just used a board of wood and cut a hole for the wheel, but it hindered easy access to the cubbies around the wheel. I'm still using the stock base for the spare tire.

I have since cut the hole into the factory cover, which opens and closes just fine. The cover is fiberglass, so wear gloves when you cut it!

The wheel is held in place with a long bolt, drilled through the center cap.

Under the carpet: bolt with washer.

HAHAHAHA! Best office chair ever. You've given me something to think about. I have enough Volvo seats laying around my house, I need to try this.

If only you had a seat heater in this one, too!

Wouldn't be too hard to fit a massaging heating seat pad in this.

It does have adjustable ride height ;) Have yet to see how fast it rolls though.

Well guys and gals... It pains me to say this... But... :(

The car has been raised ~20mm. Running 245/40s now, which have a much beefier side wall than stock. It was a sacrifice I was willing to make for the wheel protection and added grip. I have also ditched the 5mm rear spacers, as things are completely flush now.
Despite the extra ground clearance, the car is still tucking by a few millimeters on all four corners. But I am proud to announce that I can drive over manhole covers, soda cans, road kill, etc. without scraping! The ride is super comfortable and I'm not terrified to drive this car on unknown roads. Acceleration is a little slower and it will take some getting used to the added numbness from the thicker tires, but this definitely feels like a more "mature" alteration that will better suite my daily driver in the long run.

I also stripped the paint off of my Elevate badges and repainted them Laser Blue Metallic to match everything else. Aside from a few maintenance things, the car is ready for the dragon. It feels nice being prepared months in advance!

Looking Good! :)
Thanks! I won't be the lowest at the dragon, but there's always someone lower. Just like how there's always someone faster.
I'm just happy having the car setup to my liking :)

Geeze, talk about monster truckin' it! :p

Hah Looks great man, I actually think it looks better with the beefier sidewall.

Also, I have no idea what it's like being prepared in advance. Must be nice!

Added an auto-dimming mirror with compass; probably the most missed feature from my S40.

So it turns out that there are two different auto-dimming mirrors. One which uses a 3 pin black connector and one which uses an 8 pin green connector. While the wiring is all there in the headrest, the rain sensor uses the same 3 pin black connector. I can only assume that for someone with a rain sensor, they would need the 8 pin green connector mirror...

Either way, I disconnected the rain sensor and used that plug for the mirror; it works perfectly! I don't mind ditching the rain sensor... It wipes too vigorously in little rain and does not wipe often enough in heavy rain. I don't think I've actually used it in over a year.

Custom side skirt splitters. Made from polyethylene, so they're rigid but they'll take a beating.
Most importantly, they'll protect my side skirts from speed bumps and hopefully keep all the pieces together. I've had those front skirt pieces ripped off after running over road debris. Not looking to spend another $70 for a little piece of plastic.

Redid my radar detector mount, since I couldn't use the traditional mounting point with the new mirror.
