I'm looking to minimize understeer, sportier stance (but not too low so that I have to worry about fender rubbing and snow plowing in the winter), increased road feedback and INCREASE ride comfort.
Maybe it can't be done.. but with a bit of research this is what I've come up with.. let me know what you think/suggestions/opinions and your own experiences.
This is what I hope to purchase later this year...
QuickBrick Motorsport Endlinks - http://quickbrickmotorsports.com/prod_endlink.html - these guys are as beefy as they come for endlinks and I've only heard really good things about them. Should help with feedback/control in corners.
KONI FSD - the guys on Volvospeed seem to like the Bilsteins.. so they're probably really stiff and too aggressive for everyday driving. SS60 seems to think they aren't the greatest on Toronto roads/potholes. I've only heard good things from others about these guys.
Springs... Should I go ahead with springs, even though I've already got the Volvo 'handling package'? Koni suggests stock springs for their Koni FSDs and I've heard that they tend to bottom out with lowering springs. If I do go springs, I'm thinking TME?
That's all I've got so far. My wheels (when they jump out of their boxes in my garage) are Heico 18" Volution Vs.
Ideally I don't want my Tim Horton's steeped tea to spill in my cupholder, but be able to take those bumpy turns and not lose control. Pipe dream... should I save my money and get an ECU instead?

Re: My S60 T5 Suspension Plans (GuelphVolvo)

I have FSDs on my S60 but running them with Eibach lowering springs and HEICO Volution 19" wheels.
I agree they do tend to bottom out with the lowering springs and Id maybe look at fitting the slightly uprated and lowered ones off an R model instead if thats possible.

Gee, if you already have the handling package I would just try a pair of ipd sway bars first

Guelph-V,
I'm removing my setup (sometime in July) since I'll be driving in downtown Toronto a lot more this fall and will need softer springs and perhaps a set of touring shocks. Let me know if your intrested in any of the parts that are comming off the current setup (evolve sport springs, bilstein HD). They have less then 8000 kms on them.
They have pretty "dead", overboosted steering and brakes.
They do get better and better every year when Volvo realized they messed up with the 01's

Re: My S60 T5 Suspension Plans (JRL)

JRL, the HD ride pretty nice in my car, no spillage even with the hard springs. Before I changed shocks it was a different story though - its my springs that are killing me downtown.

SS60 - I'm going to give just the Heico's a chance to see how my car feels. But if I decide to change the shocks I may have to go with the Bilstein's if the price is right. But I don't think I can ever go Evolve... They seem too low for my liking.

Re: (GuelphVolvo)

I'd bet the Heico's will probably work well with the volvo sport shocks you have on your car, but I suspect they'd feel very similar to your current springs. Maybe you should try the standard T5 springs.

Re: (GuelphVolvo)

IPD's are much larger and will really wake the car's handling up.
I really would try them first, cheaper and I think you willl like the way it feels

I'll have to check it out what's going on down there, and take a few pics to be sure... when I get my tires on my wheels.. and my wheels on my car... come on UPS... hurry will you?
Now that things are going good with the Volvo... I was driving home yesterday on the 401 and guess who got a stone in the headlight... it's weird. Pinhole sized in the front, and you can tell a big chunk of glass came off on the inside and is sitting at the bottom of the housing.

I'm going with Bilstein Sport Shocks and H&R Sport Springs since freakin B+G can't seem to get their sh*t together. Don't plan on upgrading the sway bar.
