Dear Wiseguy, There is a company named PBR. They make a stock replacement brake pad, and it actually make white/ grey brake dust. It will keep your wheels looking better for longer...Monkey11
quote:
Originally posted by WiseGuyVolvoS60:
Hey guys. i have a whtie 2.4t and im gonna start working on it like next month. im putting in the fog lights, and im gonna paint the bottom and side all white. there is liek black there so i wanna make it a solid color. its a great idea trust me it will look nice. i have the 17' tethes but im debatin wheater i should put on some 18in chrome. the thethes are bad as hell when they are clean, but they are so hard to miantian. i really dont no what else to do. if u guys have any suggestions please tell me. thanks alot everyone

Well not really knowing your objectives this is a guess as to what you might do, but I don't know if it's suitable for what you hope to achieve.
1) Firm up the suspension, maybe get a set of coilovers.
2) Reflash your ECU and turn up the boost to get some extra power
3) Go to autolamps online and pick up a set of the Philips bulbs. They have the same wattage as stock but are brighter. Great alternative to getting more light w/o the huge cost of HID.

Hey i got a s60 t5 on chromes and it looks badass. Few notes... due to the pattern of the bolts on the s60 it is tuff to find a large selection of rims for the car. My advise is to find a brand that drills the holes to your specs before they ship them, or you can get rims inserted so that they will match your pattern. This is what I did and I have had no problems. If you are thinking alloy, i would go the TSW Zenon 19' pin rods. A good deal would be around 2500 installed. Any questions, let me know.. O almost forgot im told the widest you can go is 8 inches. This creates a problem for 20' rims because almost all or 8.5 inches wide.
~SPENCER

On wheels, you might want to opt for something polished instead of chromed if you like that look. The chroming process tends to make wheels more brittle, and running on 18" wheels (in Michigan) raises your chance of damaging wheels.
You may want to be careful what wheel you choose too. Some wheels are stronger than others, and generally Forged wheels are strongest, but they tend to be more expensive.
Sounds like you want something with fewer spokes so they're easier to clean. 5-spoke wheels are nice and generally look great.
An ECU upgrade is a good idea. It'll raise hp and torque with little modification.
Suspension upgrades are also a good idea. Lowering the ride height will make the car look more aggressive, and tightening it up will help performance.
