Sorry for the terrible phone pictures, my camera is on the fritz again!<p>Undertook a couple of new mods. The first mod I call the Brick effect (as inspired by SS member Quick Brick) I painted the chrome grill surround and Volvo swish in Volvo 932 Anthracite color with a Volvo clear coat layer, in preparation for the graphite pegs that I'll be adding soon.<p>Here are some pics of the grill and swish taped up and with a coat of primer on<p><IMG SRC="http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/6127/image0257lv.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/8352/image0263js.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/445/image0275xd.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/348/image0289jz.jpg" BORDER="0"><p>After having been painted and with clear coated<p><IMG SRC="http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/6094/image0335iq.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/5078/image0344tc.jpg" BORDER="0"><p>Installed. I painted the swish inserts black again, Quick Brick painted his blue to match his Sonic Blue R but I went a slightly different direction.<p><IMG SRC="http://img65.imageshack.us/img65/4046/image0350sr.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/4460/image0366rj.jpg" BORDER="0"><p>Second mod, its a magnet I removed from the back of one of those clip things that usually go on the fridge or something, found out it fit exactly in the key hole so when I got my rear and front bumpers painted, I had them paint the magnet too and... voila, debadging to the extreme <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif" BORDER="0"> <p><IMG SRC="http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/4015/image0307fo.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img138.imageshack.us/img138/7978/image0311lg.jpg" BORDER="0"><p><IMG SRC="http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/1701/image0324cc.jpg" BORDER="0"><BR><BR>

Re: My New Mods (Barry)

Thanx for the props <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0"> , but you did the work. Nice job! It'll look great with the pegs.<p>Mercedes Benz used to sell keyhole plugs like that. Finishes it off nicely. If I thought I could match my Sonic Blue, I'd make one for my drivers door <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif" BORDER="0"> .

Re: My New Mods (markoc70t5)

I hope it stays on too, two coats of primer, a coat of paint and clear, the stuff dried up pretty good. It gives the car a less bling look and a little more sporty.
