I received a set of crystal white Kaixen HIDs,
I was guaranteed plug and play installation with no CEL, and no additional harnesses. This is possible through the DSP (digital signal processing) chip developed by Panasonic. The HID ballast is programed to emulate a normal headlight bulb, by cleaning up the output signal.
And it worked perfectly!! Complete plug and play kit no CEL and no danger of wiper motor burn out. This setup can easily pass for OEM.
Here's a teaser shot

The color is totally crazy, only Kaixen and Phillips have crystal HID technology. The light output from Crystal HID's is a bit diffrent then that of normal HID's. I'm having trouble taking a picture of it but basically they have way crazy lens flare where you can see the streaks of purple, dark blue, and green. I need to find a wall to show off the crazy dark blue line at the headlight cut off. I should have something tonight. What does this mean. Well You know when a BMW with HIDs approaches behind you on the road and from far away the lights look dark blue, well I get the same effect now, and like a BMW when I take dips there is a flash of purple. Needless to say I'm a big fan of Crystal HID's.
Total cost to me was $139 to my door.
I'm working on an install writeup

OK, I'm sick of not knowing anything about this subject. Inform me please. My car has... xenons? How is this different? They are bright as hell, they are factory, they do the job very nicely. What's the difference between these and HIDs? Teach me what you can about this subject please.....

There are some shaddy aftermarket characters that will sell halogen lights as Xenons but they are only doing it as a marketing gimmick, that might be where your getting confused. If you look at your lights around the outside of the projector lens and see that parts is tinted blue you have OEM HIDs, if its clear/white you do not.

Other than changing the bulb color there would be no purpose for you to "upgrade" anything. Bout the only thing you could do to project light better would be to replace your projectors with a higher quality one such as an S2000.
If my DDM's go tit's on me ill look into grabbing this kit. Ive heard about them before and now that ive seen they work with our cars im very interested. Got a link where you purchased them?

Re: (highc0ntrast)

Looks great! I haven't had any problems with my DDMs (sharpHID kit) but if/when I do I will see if you have had any issues with this kit, if not I will look into it. I will never go back to stock halogens, even if I have to replace a wiper motor every now and then. Knock on wood...

The ballast programing works just fine on a Volvo.

Re: (zerocover)

Yeah the ebay listings are just made with random manufacture names as search tags. Long as they are H11's should be good to go, just depends if they have the color you want.
