Hey guys, so I got this car about a month ago and have been wanting to put up pics for a while but havnt had the time. Its an 05 and has 130 000kms on it but is veryyy clean. I changed my fogs to the nokya hyper yellows. and want to get a dubstop grill asap.
Potential future mods include:
-evolve exhaust
-lowering springs
-pegasus rims
Heres a vid of me revving it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSgMXwX5uho
and i discovered if u lightly rev it around 1900-2000rpm and play around with it, it starts to pop. are these small backfires?
Also when i start the car and it is cold, my car makes this wierd noise, kinda like a squiky belt or something spining slowly but it makes a sound and its not connected to the engine because when i rev the engine the sound doent speed up. took it to a mechanic, didnt know what it was. gonna take it to volvo soon. and it seems like its coming from the passenger side firewall area, u can barely hear it from the engine bay but its loud from the cabin. after about 10 mins of driving it stops and happens alot quietly after short stops. loudest is after morning starts. any ideas?
Also my rear bumper skirt that comes with the dynamic package is getting old and the paint is starting to chip, any ideas on what i should do with this?
Here are the pics, enjoy

Re: My New Car- 05 S40 T5 Awd (zubilius)

Congraz!! I too just picked up a S40 T5 AWD a few days ago. See you around!! I need to lower my S40 too. I find it pretty much insane that they make em this high. Maybe its a fallos of sorts.
Who knows, the swedes work in mysterious ways.
BTW is the AWD higher than the FWD?
If it is i reckon they think the AWD dudes needs to rumble around the fields.
Still, you could have a cow sticking to your tyre and you`d be none the smarter.

I'll have some Blue Evolve ones for sale in the next month or so, just waiting to take them off my car...they are the lowest drop you can get before coilovers. My car is AWD.

Congrats on the ride! Silver and those color wheels look pretty slick. I'm not sure what the wheels were called, but the polished ones with many spokes look pretty sweet.

Take it to the dealer before it's too late.
GL and Welcome to the Volvo S40/V50 Family
BTW great pictures.
