First pictures I've seen that do this colour justice. It's great in real life. Looks really nice on Inscription (not so much on momentum). Well done. No polestar badge?

Yes , Polestar is installed .. the badge will be sent to me personally after it is registered at Polestar :) Yes, this colour looks strange and unrealistic on Volvo configurator but in reality it is so beautiful and sublime ...

Polestar make quite a difference, now it is really powerful ...

After installing Polestar, it will be registered at Polestar and they will send you the badge to your personal address ... There is no extra drive option, but the power and acceleration are considerably better

Fantastic! I am really fond of this color on this car.

I've been trying to see it in person, though, with no luck at all. Where are all the new XC90s?

Several drives through MA and parts of NY (which should be prime volvo territory) and nary a one!

Well, keeping my eyes peeled - your photos are lovely and congrats on your new beauty!

Great photos - and you have great taste in colour, too! :)

Ah - a D5 ... which they would make that available in the US market.

I like the fog lights - mine doesn't have it (not in T8's due to battery cooling system I understand).

The diesel engine was never all that popular in the US, and the VW fraud scandal means that they are even less popular now. I can see why Volvo US might not want to bother importing them.

Quick impressions so far (I was driving test cars before, so it is not a completely new experience), before I had XC70 2014

1) Exterior look and design - 10/10: really beautiful and impressive and really HUGE :) I love this colour. Looks weird in Volvo configurator but in reality beautiful

2) Interior design - 10/10: I am happy I chose those colours of seats, wood etc. Inscription details add to the look

3) Power - 10/10: with added Polestar it is really powerful in accelerations and dynamics. Reasonably more than my XC70 (also with Polestar)

4) Silence in cabin: 9/10 - the engine is quite silent and decent, most of the noise comes from the wheels and tyres

5) Drive comfort/suspension 8/10: maybe the suspension will become softer and more settled in the course of time, but any bump on the road is quite strongly pronounced (more than in XC70), a bit hard it is at times

6) Hi Tech features: 10/10: I love all those safety , light, additional heating etc. features

7) Navigation: 8/10: still not in pair with any decent mobile app for few EUR

8) Sensus entertainment system : 5/10: not really good - not recognising folders and subfolders is a serious glitch (my XC70 did it easily), ID3 tags are messy.
The applications more or less useless ...

9) Sound system (B&W): 9/10: sounds really great, the additional features (especially concert hall reverb) are a bit funny.

10) Keyless control, cargo space opening, LED lights - 10/10

.. to be continued

Having driven 2000 km, here are my impressions so far:

What I like very much:

- interior and exterior looks: simply beautiful
- seats: very comfortable
- power (with Polestar): very sufficient
- safety features, intellisafe packet: wonderful
- LED lights and their automatic behaviour: stunning
- steering and drive stability: excellent
- ACC: using it most of the time, works great
- hi end details (light adaptive mirrors, keyless management, lane manager etc.) - great
- cargo space: BIG and generous
- sound quality (B&W) - first class
- independent heating with timer - fantastic

What I find rather average:

- navigation system (traditionally a weak point of Volvo cars, I just wonder why they don't use a system from renowned specialists - TomTom, Garmin etc.)
- suspension - a bit hard and bumpy it is at times
- engine noise: a bit rattling when accelerating
- Carplay: does not work 100% reliably and is a bit limited
- Applications for Sensus : more or less useless
- fuel consumption: in reality much higher than officially stated by Volvo, even when driving very smoothly

What I dislike:

- road tyre noise: too much for this car class ... this is a BIG minus for me ...

I would happily change some of the superficial "luxury" features for a quiet cabin and silent and smooth ride
