now to compliment your long list of mods and beautiful looking beast...you need to add a dyno sheet, and a track slip!

Nice list!
Can you describe your custom rear camber plates a little more? How much adjustability do you get?

I'd really like to know how much you spent on all those mods....
excessive is subjective. you may think your list of mods is just right...while another person might say even adding ONLY an ECU upgrade is a "waste"/excessive...
so don't sweat it unless it bothers YOU
MY opinion...is that there is a point at which spending money on a car becomes unreasonable. To me, I'd look at it this way -
1) how much is the car worth in stock form, given it's model year/mileage/condition
2) how much have I spent on mods
3) what OTHER car could I have bought had I NOT modded the car, and just used that money to buy a "better" car?
4) would that "better" car actually be more fun than my car in it's modded condition??
if you spent $3000 on the basic ecu/dp/exhaust - I think it's an easy call. An R with those bolt ons makes a BIG gain in power, and that $3000 isn't going to make a big difference in what kind of car one could have bought.
now if you spent $25,000 in mods...and your R cost you $35-40k...now you're looking at a car that cost roughly $65k. There are some really nice cars that can be had when you start spending $50,000+... BUT you have to keep in mind that the modded R with 25k into it is going to be one serious performer...
ultimately, it depends on what YOU want and what YOU are willing to spend to get it.
ultimately, if you calculate a cars value + cost of mods and then compare it to cars that are unmodded/stock that cost as much as the modded car - you'll find the modded cars outperform the "more expensive" stock cars.
look at modded Stis, EVOs, Vettes, 911s.... vs the more expensive exotics. It's easy to make a Z06 smack down a Lambo if you put some money into the vette.
the "expensive" cars have the upside of coming with all the good stuff on them from the factory with a WARRANTY. when something goes wrong, you get it fixed on their dime. havin ga 911 turbo that is brand new woudl be fun. if it has a problem, you go back to the POrsche dealer and it gets taken care of. you get a nice loaner.... but you pay for that luxury.
if you want performance on a budget - tuning your car is the way to go.
just remember...and I know JRL has some special insurance that gets around this issue...but I think for MOST of us...if you mod the heck out of your car and spend $$$ on it....unless you have some special insurance policy, or a rider, or pay extra to get EXTRA coverage..if/when your car is totalled, destroyed or stolen..you'll never get all your mod money back. ever. you'll take a bath...so be careful.

with my policy, they have copies of all recipts and if something happens there is a pre negotiated, fixed settlement amount. They simply tow the car away and send me a check.... IF the car is deemed totalled. cost an extra 3 dollars a month to have it like that.
I will have to keep this car FOREVER now because I will never get out of it even remotely close to what I have into it. Of course if a collector or somone with alot of money makes me the right offer then they will have bought the most powerfull R (till boosted finishes, lol) R on US soil.
