My first time driving was when I was 4. I believe it was a blue 240 sedan. I crashed it into a tree. Caused 3k in damage. Okay, so I didn't really "drive" it but I released the parking break.
But my first time driving was in a 91 940 Volvo. Its was great. I went to a cemetary with my mom and drove around. Only because thats the only place where its legal besides a parking lot thats some what realistic. I don't do good when I drive with my mom because she drives like a maniac so I do, but my dad drives perfect and I do when I am with him, maybe its because I know he is the deciding factor if I get the car(a suzuki swift unless my mom gets the XC90, then I get her 940) or not, or maybe its because his 94 940 is in really nice condition and I dont want to ruin it, only seems like it could be 4 yrs old besides the high miles which are highway, anyway, driving a volvo is great. No car has better turning. Its wonderful. Driving one will make you want a volvo even more.

Hey sport, and you don't think I would have a desktop with:
AMD ATHLON XP 1900+/266
ATI Radeon, don't have a Radon..but a Radeon.
Crucial 512Mb DDR PC2100
WD1200BB hard drive
VS G810 monitor
same speed CDROM, but SCSI CDRW.
Logitech Freedom KB/Mouse
Logitech Z560
Asus A7V266-E MB..big fan of Asus as always.

Well, the list still goes on....what makes you think your 16 yr old dream machine isn't just my little game machine I use whenever I'm bored during weekend. Silly kiddo, I'm not here to compete with ya. But next time before you use WTF to start a question, think about who's on the other side of the computer reading it.

Son, I read your homepage, and know what you have..simply making a compliment, don't spoil it.

Sorry The_one_n_only but I think that he is only 14 !!
It's funny to hear some kids talk about what they have. You know that for a fact that about 80% of them are talking about what there parents have or gave them. Ok some may have earned it for doing there bed or getting an A. That I think has to be one of my top 5 pet peeves to here someone talk about something they didn't earn! Now don't get me wrong, I have full respect for the guy or girl that works for what they have. I think in the long run they become a better person because they are not dependent on others.

Well, I'm a 16 year old, who inherited his car. But all the mods I have done to it, I have paid for 1/2 off with my own hard-earned $$$. Doing the pool, cutting the lawn, doing dishes, waxing the car(s). That type of stuff... you guys have nice setups for your computers, i'm running a toshiba laptop with a 15" sxga+ screen, 256 MB of ram, 30 gig hd, 8/8/32 cd-rw all-in-one drive. Of course, the all important on-board wireless ethernet, that comes in handy
. When I get home I plug it into a 19" flatscreen, with a logitech wireless keyboard, and mouse, 250MB zip drive, and the all important docking station.

Anyways, let's talk about cars... Artur has a point, haha

P.S. I was driving boats from the time I was 6, and started racing them from 10 up until now. Now we have a 38' formula, which my dad and I race with on the weekends... Anyways, I first drove a car when I was about 10, a 197? Cadillac Deville convertible, grandmother's car, HUGE... and I learned how to drive when I was 12, on a 88 740 GLE 5-speed in a parking lot. There is a real advantage to learning on a stick.

I'm with joseph on the 'round the house chores. I also have a job whenever I can work. The school I go to is pretty hard, and they know how to keep us busy, but in the summer I work 6 days a week. I also have been driving boats since well... a long time ago, and now I work for a small inn that supplies waterskiing/tubing during the summer months. I do a lot of other stuff too (clean pools, mow grass, whatever) The people I work for are great and they are like family to me now. Anywho, back to the subject of cars... I learned how to drive when I was 12 too, but I learned on a 196? Saab 99 Turbo 4spd (which just recently died and we sadly had to get rid of it). I also was in a very... very.... large parking lot. It was really fun... like learning to riding a bike without all the falling over/pain

p.s. If anyone happens to be comming through the Western Carolinas, or even if you arn't! check out http://chaletclub.com/ I think it would really be cool to have a meet here this summer!!?
