Yes,I searched before asking.

Just started doing this yesterday afternoon on my way home, still doing it this morning. Its been fine for 6 months, now this.

When leaving from a stop and turning either way the car will hit the brakes for no reason. Sometimes a few times just getting through an intersection.

Only thing I could find was a software update from a few years ago that would fix it. I have made sure I have the most recent update installed. And the one from last week has to be it but not entirely sure.

Anyone having this issue from the recent update?

Sounds like the proximity sensor is hitting the brakes when it shouldn't. Were there pedestrians or other cars nearby that might have triggered it?

Okay, just did a scary one. Almost came to a complete stop while trying to make a right hand turn into traffic, truck had to swerve to avoid me. WTF No traffic or pedestrians are near when doing it. Seems worse when turning left. It did do it once when going straight through a 4 way stop too.

Doesnt seem to do it in "power" mode though.

Update, my local dealer has the car now and they have done two system updates and have now elevated my ticket with Volvo as they haven't seen this problem before. So far it all seems to be done under warranty. It was getting rather scary to just have the car come to an almost complete stop in an intersection.

I was going to tell you to call the dealer if you're using the app to book an appointment, it's very inaccurate and calling will get you in sooner
Yes. And call a specific service advisor if you have one assigned. Mine does a great job getting me in, reserving a loaner and communicating.

After a couple of missing updates were installed the BLIS began operating normally. However during some diagnostics they found that the ERAD was giving voltage errors so its being replaced as well. Not too sure if they are related but I will find out more when its done next week.
