...it broke the Volvo dealer tools!<p>While trying to pull the busted collar gear off, they ended up breaking their tool. And the cool thing is that the tool is backordered until May 4.<br>I guess they are trying to obtain one from another dealer right now.

I had a slight bit of FWD slippage before the rears kicked in last year, which isn't right for a 2006 Pre-Charged version of the Haldex, but if you remember, Keystone (Berwyn) dismissed the issue.

I don't believe that is all that unusual. As I recall there have been other collar failures that the dealer was not able to remove from the input shaft, and they wound up replacing the transmission.

They are a pretty decent dealer, to date. I ordered my R through them in 2006 and I know the SM fairly well. They had no problem dropping the XC90 fix for the axle-ping issue.
