I was talking to the guys at powerchips yesterday while I was down there, and they said they could make us a tune for pretty much anything. I mentioned a big turbo upgrade, and they seemed very interested. I might get one of these if someone else would be willing to try it out with me...

LOL. If we got like 100 people maybe we could get it freeeeee!!!!!!!!! If only...
When I get enough money scraped together I will probably just go to a reputable shop and go custom on the kit, using the manifold from ATP of course.

Well, I was thinking that we could organize a group buy on the parts that most of us need. I know that we could ALL use the manifold, turbo and all the fittings and hardware needed to install it. Since most of us have already installed intakes, down pipes, ext. I think this is the best way to go. I inquired as to how much a smaller kit would be, and they still haven't gotten back to me (this was almost 3 weeks ago)... but my guess is that from looking at the pricing of the other kits with less components, a group buy price of 2000 or so is reasonable (I would estimate 5 or so people to get them at this price). 2000 dollars for 450 horsepower? I'm in!

Sell your car and go buy a 335 and a tune if you want those in that order.

I'll gladly carpool with my neighbor to work every day while we install the kit on my car for $2K. I've been looking for an excuse to upgrade, and a second car/winter beater is too expensive of a reason.

Haha, yeah... Rough life! Hopefully I'll be cruising around in the new SS Camaro with the RS package pretty soon. 426 horsepower.... mmmmmm

But yeah, who else would be interested in 2k for a big turbo upgrade?? Also, those who know turbos better than I do, which one do you think is best for our application. IIRC the bigger trim turbos will make more power at peak, but take longer to spool. With our choices being the GT3076, GT3071 and the GT2871, I almost feel that the 28 would be best. Any other opinions?

If I recall correctly RICA already has a tune done for upgraded turbos...and yeah, to behonest I'd rather have a tune that doesn't involve sending in my ECU...

The real question is, can the internals of our stock t5 block take 375~400 horsepower? I mean take it and be a reliable daily driver..... I am planning on calling the Volvo dealer about this...
