It's done. First, I want to say thanks to Johann for providing the information on how to do it, it was really inspiring. Now, the details. Stock intercooler pipe from the turbo to intercooler inlet is 2.25", my new pipe is 2.375", made with stainless steel 304 grade. From the outside, it looks exactly like the stock tube, all the bends and the outer wall diameter, most of all, the stock mounting holes retain, so the fit and finish is 100% perfect. Even dealer wouldn't know I upgrade the inner wall, that's the cheat there. The HKS SSQV is louder than I expected, even with all windows up, closed sunroof, I can still hear it every time I let off the throttle. One thing I want to point out is, especially to Johann, it doesn't bog down or anything, it's as smooth as before with the stock valve, I don't understand why. But hey, as long as it drives like stock, it's all good, right? Anyway, I will ask InDy if he would like to post the pictures for me of my little project, so you can see what I am talking about.

Johann,
Yes, I did follow your "Daiko" instructions to mount the plate on the stock re-cir. valve position. Boost level is now at stock level, which I think is 10psi, right? I spent a lot of time today to get a good feeling on the BOV setup with otherwise stock car, I noticed when I am crusing in low speed in stop and go traffic, when I left off the throttle, the RPM drops to 400 and comes back up to normal, 700-800rpm, and at one time it almost stalled, kind of scared, so I might do a boost controller like yours or the worst case, put a tube over the blow-off-opening to reroute the air back to the intake, will see what's going on in the next few days to help me decide. One favor I need from you, could you let me know how did you install the Dual SBC? I mean which wires do I need to tap into? Thanks man.

Kai,
Don't really need your opinion on this, so keep it to yourself. Serious mods? The IPD motronic pacakge is my last step, and I consider it to be quite serious. I don't want to go too extreme and blow up my engine, if you know what I mean.

"Which means that the BOV adjustment is not 100% yet, it stay open to long to catch the idle point again, this is a vacuum problem."

Johann,
Thanks for your advice, guess I will just do the IPD motronic package and that's it. About the valve, do you think I should tighten up the valve spring adjustment to cure my problem?

Hmm..I only bent one of my rods slightly, but dunno who actually blew up his engine. Ohhh..! You meant the time where you had to take your TURBO Focus which was equip'd with car from the factory(?! ) back to the dealer for complete engine rebuild? Ooops, I said too much again. Well, Mr. Hai has spoken..no more comment will be given about you and your car.
Let's leave it there Anthony, I doubt you want me to dig any deeper than it already is. Say HI to THAT cashew for me.

Kai,
With your attitute like that, do you have any real close friends at all? Just wondering. I am not mad, but rather pointing out your childish acts. One more thing, please leave cashew out of this, this has nothing to do with her. I don't know who gives you the right to include her, but if you think because you might have the fastest C here which makes you think you are some sort of goddess, think it again, kid. Also, I am here to share my little BOV experiment, not to start a flame war, so if you want to start something, which it seems to me that way, take it somewhere else.
[This message has been edited by NJ850N/A (edited 08-12-2002).]

I don't know who gives you the right to include her.

Now now, you are just putting your words in my mouth. I was just simply saying Hi to her. If that's real Cashew, I don't see why she'd have problem with me saying Hi to her. Don't need to use this pointless argument in this conversation.

quote:
Originally posted by NJ850N/A:
but if you think because you might have the fastest C here which makes you think you are some sort of goddess

Correction..god, not goddess. You might be the goddess of pathological lies, but try to use the right word.

quote:
Originally posted by NJ850N/A:
Also, I am here to share my little BOV experiment, not to start a flame war, so if you want to start something, which it seems to me that way, take it somewhere else.

Again, you are using false and misleading arguments to win this lame pointless conversation. NO, I was simply trying to tell how useless the BOV would be for your car since you don't plain on doing other modification beside the ECU. So, please try not to put your words in my mouth just because I have edited my original post to make this look less offensive. It's more than obvious that you are trying to turn this into a flame war just because I started to burst your bubbles about lots little facts. If by pointing the truth hurts you, I'm sorry...too bad I'm not like Mike who was always so kind and didn't want to point out your lies. Note that I use the word WAS, try to pull that stunt again...let's see your so-called close friends around you will live with your little fantasy world. This is not even appropriate for me to go into such depth for this dumb argument, but this just shows you at least I still looked at your as one of my acquaintance back in school. If it was one of the r-icers who just comes out here and pull all these crap, I wouldn't even bother.
Rest assure these would be my last words to you. If you couldn't accept other's help, at least accept the truth. You need seriously help, my friend, I always wanted to tell you this. Just didn't know I needed to tell you this way. You don't need to make up stories to elevate yourself, we accept you as who you are. None of those materialistic stuff make us look at your any differently. If you still can't see where I'm going with this, call up Mike and ask him about your problem. Or even Mark can tell you a thing or two.
I hope you could see how my tone is different than how I usually just roast others...seek help. That's all I have to say, so don't get me all excited and get in details about the past now. Like I said, let's leave it right there.
