What's up fellas. I recently purchased my first Volvo, a '87 740T, and need to get some questions answered. Now she's not in the best shape, but only has 90.000 mi and runs like a champ. My biddest headache right now is the non-working overdrive. I feel like I can't open her up stuck in 4th gear and need to get this fixed before I get pissed. The guy who sold it to me said it's a common problem and pointed me to a ripped rubber boot, under the hood, attached to the throttle causing the problem. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Oh yeah, it's a manual. Any help would be great. I'll shoot my other questions out there some other day. Thanks.
