When it is moist or wet outside, like snowing today, and I leave my 2013 XC70 outside for a bit, when I start it back up there is a musty smell that comes from the climate control.

Today (30 F outside), I had it set to 67 degrees in the car, on Auto with the air re-circulation on auto as well. AC on. Drove it 15m or so, parked it for an hour, and when started back up the musty smell lasts for about 10m or so.

Is there anything that can be done about this? Dealer seemed clueless about it (the are not the best Volvo dealer IMO) so looking for some thought from Volvo mechanics (if any are here).

Using the airco means you will have to turn the airco OFF about 10 min before you arrive at your destination. It cleans the pipes (blower on at ⅓ rd) and moisture will evaporate. As simple as that. Let me know tomorrow...try again like this.

Seems odd for a few reasons:

- even in the summer if it is wet outside, it would do the same thing, and I am not driving around in the summer without A/C.
- Started about 1.5 years ago. Never did it before then.
- Our 2010 XC60 does not have this issues.
