A couple weeks into my 2009 and my only disappointment so far is that I find the brakes to be less than awesome. Previous vehicle was an XC90. Anyone else have a similar experience? Sorry if this was covered in prior topic - I couldn't find it. Thanks

Re: Mushy brakes? (faceplate)

Nope. I've found my brakes to be excellent! No mushyness, good response, etc. But when doing those 80 to 0 stops, after you get to around 40 MPH, they tend to fade out on ya. But other than that, its all good with me.

Re: Mushy brakes? (vivek9856)

Thanks - I will get them checked at first service. I was sure I would have noticed it (if there was a problem with all S80s) when I did the test drives.

No mushiness on my 2009 S80 T6. I hate a mushy or slow-to-respond brake pedal, so I would notice it if it was there.

No mush here either. Especially, compared to my wife's RX400h. Mushy and grabby as they alternate from energy recapture to strictly braking.
