Scott, you mentioned that you were bringing in some MS Design body styling products for the S60 and S40.

You should talk to them about their interior trim sytem. They heat shrink different foils onto interior trim to create faux wood trim, carbon fiber, satin silver aluminum look etc, and it generally looks better than most other wood kits seen.

The great thing about it is the flexibility. Since you are adding it to the OEM piece, fitment is excellent and older cars can also be modified, such as doing an aluminum kit for the 240 etc.

Guys, sorry to get side track here...

I was wonder if Scott has checked out the a/d/s site yet. It'd be nice if IPD can start carrying some bodykit like that for the S40.

Scott, you can also tell that the memebers on this board like the VST toys quite a lot. Any thought about contacting those guys?

I think the main prob with bringing a lot of this stuff in is the cost of shipment, which is a major PITA. There's no main importer for MS Design here in the sates (they do a ton of stuff for almost all European cars).

Body kits are not cheap to bring in.

This is an interesting thread for me as I get many enquiries from US & Canada for the styling kits that I source from MS and sell under my own Kalmar Union brand. Very few enquiries end up in sales as the cost of shipping to North America is usually between £150 and £200. The usual couriers DHL and UPS will not accept the large boxes that these kits come in. Shoot you're right? My bad. Hope that's not an insult to Don. Then again, I could always use my admin powers and delete those two posts....

Anywho... I'm still curious. Do you have US distribution? If so, who sells your stuff.

I have a small business here in the UK: Volvo have maybe just 1% of the UK market and their products are not sought after here in the way that Imprezas & Evos have caught the UK market. However, I am seeking to build up a good selection of product for those who have caught on to Volvo's latest stuff. Probably half my sales are overseas & I only sell directly ,as to appoint dealers means I will have to give them most of my profit or they will have to add an additional margin which just makes the price unneccessarily high.
