Does anyone have a bit of movement when pressing down on the front of their hood? When I apply a bit of pressure to the hood it goes down a bit (then back up). Is this normal?

It is part of the pedestrian safety system to reduce injuries to pedestrians.

Pedestrian safety. Everything is super-soft. It makes for great experiences when you hit rocks or small debris. I had a tennis ball leave a dent in my XC90s hood that looked like someone had dropped a bowling ball from the fifth floor onto the car...

If you are coming from other European brands, it's not that novel. But if you are coming from American brands, it is a very different experience. My previous Ford was a wall of solid steel, in comparison. And, just to make sure a pedestrian would never survive impact, the previous owner had installed bull-bars. For those bulls roaming Manhattan. Gotta love 'mericans.
