<A HREF="http://www.monticellomotorclub.com/?gclid=COe7_YKou5UCFQwsGgodMlcIQg" TARGET="_blank">http://www.monticellomotorclub...lcIQg</A><p>This track, which is only about 30 minutes from where I <i>currently</i> live <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/rolleyes.gif" BORDER="0"> has recently opened. <p>I thought that it was cool that upon opening my current issues of Car and Driver AND Road and Track, both had the track featured.<p>Car and Driver did a little writeup on the track, and Road and Track actually tested an M5 vs. a CTS-V there! They also had a little info on the track with a corner layout. <p>One of my contractors installed all the timing, scoring and video systems (which he told me about, and it sounds amazing) and one of my engineers who is a good friend of mine, did all of the erosion control inspections, so I go to hear about the track as it got put together and got to take a ride around as it was under construction. He's a racing enthusiast, and was giddy throughout the whole process. <p>Only $125k to join!!!

$125k when you look at it, isn't that expensive. <p>It's going to be equivalent to a very exclusive country club with full facilities....clubhouse, banquet facilities, guest houses / cottages. Plus it's got full service and garage facilities, etc. <p>It's quite a place, the track is amazing, and the location is gorgeous. <p>Well worth the $125k if you've got it. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>BTW, couple of known people there at the opening. That would definately be fun. IMO the only downside is you might get sick of driving the same track over and over again!<p>The "CEO" in the CNBC special stated it was the first of its' kind which isn't true..<p>There are already some track clubs out there. The Autobahn CC in Joliet, IL is $35,000 for initiation and $3,000 for annual dues. It has a slightly shorter track, but some of the turns are incredible.<p>I watched a Lamborghini test driver demonstrate how to drift an LP640!<BR><BR>

is that the one that was being built that Jerry Seinfield became a member of ?? i saw it in this months issue of car and driver.....i got to get the name of it.. and they're only accepting 500 members but the track looks amazing..
