Woke up this morning, about to head to work, get downstairs and notice something is wrong. Look left, look right, try to remember where I parked last night and then realize, my car is gone. I'm bummed. Waited an hour for the police, that didn't work, found out that they want you to go to the Police station if someone steals your car. Nice right? Police report filed, I called the local dealers and dropped a line with the local Volvo forum to get some more eyes on the street, but I don't have high hopes.
I would like to thank everyone here for help with advice, parts, fixing things and great fun stories. i don't know If I'll be getting another Volvo or something else, but it has been fun, and I'll continue to drop by.
Also, probably next week when I've really given up, I'll be putting some parts up for sale.. so that's the good news.

Wow, sorry to hear that. Good thing about having an R in the states is that nobody wants to steal it.

Re: (hoagrod)

Sorry for the loss Bro! Looking at your mods I see your car was dialed.
What are the chances of getting your car back, and if so would you want to keep since it was probably ridden extremely hard/abused??

I have both keys with me and there was no glass on the road. The windows are tinted, which might have helped with the glass problem, but I'm still curious how they got it away, besides neutral and a push.

Quote, originally posted by AthruC »

"My car was just stolen."
"Why don't you drive over here and file a report."
"My car was just stolen!"
Sorry man. I'm really not impressed with them at all. USAA has been great so far and I'll be getting the paperwork to them tomorrow (all the receipts, add-ons, etc).
And yes Edogg218, the public transport is good, it just triples my time to work.. and then, we hope it's not raining, so there's that.
S5/S6 is nice in theory, but the price starts to get up there. The Turbo X is something I'm looking at too. I don't know if I will be modding the next car as quickly as I did this and with the S series I wouldn't have too, but it's a matter of time and money.
Thanks for all the support and best wishes.. If I lived back in the states it would be easier to find an alternative, used car, etc. Over here.. it's not as easy. Hard to trust used cars from military people and I'm not sure I want to buy a beater for a period of time, since I like to drive and travel.
