I was crossing the street today in High Point, NC walking through a bus drop-off zone with multiple curbs and looked up and saw a ashe gold XC90 at a stoplight. In my distracted state I wasn't paying attention and rolled my right ankle pretty badly as I stepped off the curb. What an idiot I am and no I hadn't been drinking. You'd think I'd seen a pretty girl.
I had just finished inspecting another XC90 in the parking lot marveling at how rusty the lugs were and how hazy the faux-chrome trim was. Why does this owner not complain? Go figure.
Anyway this injury made me realize that to some degree I still suffer from XC90 induced delirium. Here is an old thread for fun. http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=16135

Re: Misadventures in XC90 Sitings (dachshund2)

As funny as it is, I know what your talking about. I am a big car guy to begin with, but the XC90 always catches my eye. It annoys the wife when I stare at other vehicles.
Steve

Re: Misadventures in XC90 Sitings (prowlerflyer)

And here I thought I was the only one with xc90-delirium...
If you happen to watch the movie "Shaggy dog", you will see what I mean. When they first showed the cars in the driveway, I jumped and told my wife "Look!", but by then, it was gone. Eventually, she saw the car and understood (with a heavy sigh).

My wife notices them as quickly as I do. The XC90 is her daily driver. The funniest thing, keep in mind this is our first Volvo, is that now when she sees 18 wheelers, she looks for Volvo tractors and calls out "Volvo" when we see them on the open road. Then again, she's a car-gal (I'm a very lucky car-guy), so to me, it's not that strange. You guys ought to see her wail on our Triumph sports cars in the twisties. . . . .
Jack
