Re: Miami Sunset S60R and MKV GTI (aphxtwinin)

All of them, BUT if I had to choose I would say 1, 2, 5 and 6.
For a "small" car the GTI looks enormous next to the R. I'm always amazed how much larger each generation of cars appears versus its predecessors. I like the new GTI, but the R is much sexier.
- Tryg

Nice body-color moldings. I noticed your headlight wipers. Do they still function properly with the arms reversed?
- Tryg

Unless you routinely go to luaus, I'd recommend removing the lei from your rear view for photo ops. For whatever reason, I think it completely negates any "aggressive" look the R possesses. Otherwise, the pics look great.

I like #6 the best, then #2.
And I feel the lei does kind of detract from the image overall, in that it draws attention to itself and away from the cars (which are supposed to be the center of attention, I think).
Nice shots!
gb

Re: Miami Sunset S60R and MKV GTI (cloaked)

The lei is no doubt plastic, which makes it that much more cheesy. Sorry, I just got back from Hawaii.
Is that black box in the front intake a radar detector?

Quote, originally posted by cloaked »

"hanging from the rear view mirror indicate mellow it's also a safety hazard in arguably the safest car in the world.

Arguably is right. With the rear side hop, loss of braking going uphill, and other "R" anomalies I would say it has dropped out of that ranking.

im not a girl R owner the "lei" has special meaning between my gf and I and you all know how that is. That "thing" peeking out in front is my radar. Since you all are talking about a luau we should have an R luau in miami. : )

Nice shots
Do you also own the GTI? If so how is it? My brother is buying one and I wanted to know if it is as good as they say.

Hey, I know you! You're the guy that used to work at SPEC*S on Sunset Dr., right? I have the silver R, remember? We spoke a few times. So you never got the Grand Cherokee SRT-8?
Your car was also my inspiration to remove the front spoilers and leave the rest of the body kit on. (That, and having them ripped off 3 or 4 times.) I was driving south on Galloway a few months ago in my mother's RX330 and you were right behind us. I had thought about it, but wasn't sure it would look right. I saw your car and went home and did it the same day.
Awesome photos! Must love Miami.
Portfolio?
