My brother, David, is way more knowledgeable about cars than I. This is my R and his EVO 9 MR which he fully built himself this winter. It is putting down about 600hp at the wheels and I don't have to tell everyone here that I am not even putting down half that. But that's ok...they are two totally different cars with very different missions. Finally we got a moment together where both of our cars were clean and his friend with a super nice camera took some pics. Our cars do a great job of matching our personalities, so glean from that what you will, haha! But while we have our differences as brothers often do, it's pretty cool that we can do this together.

Enjoy!

Very nice pics! http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

That Evo just screams business, but when you look at the R, it makes people wonder... do I really wanna mess with this caR?

And that's why I love my R

Re: Me and my little bro / the R and EVO (fasts60r)

Your R looks badass. That EVO must have trouble with tread wear at 600hp!!

Hey fasts60R, what brand/size tires are you running?

I'd have to see the Dyno sheet to believe those number's. even 600 at the crank would be hard to believe. I've helped build several Evo engine's for our Rally car's. & for those who don't knwo the bottom end is the weak link on the evo as it is on the STI. Even Ken Block the owner of DC shoe's with ALL his & Subaru's money could only come up w 566whp & 611tq. So lets see this dyno sheet ! ! !

The tires are Yokohama avid W4S. I like them in that they have a nice look I think and they are all seasons.

Now, to all the naysayers...the Evo is close to that. I have to ask if he has the graph in an electronic form. If not, he will be dynoing again soon as a part of his further refining of his tune.

Oh and you're right, the weak link in that Evo eventually is the bottom end and the 6 spd tranny of the MR. That is why he spent the winter building the bottom end and recently swapped in the 5 speed manual from an Evo 8.

Re: (fasts60r)

One of the techs at Alamo has a 900 hp car is what Richard told me. Of course it needs race gas to get those numbers

Don't ask if it's at the wheels or crank because you wouldn't believe it anyway.

Scanner + photobucket = Dynosheet

Just put motor in, very VERY save tune, maxing little D1 out at 10psi.

1st pull is at 1:05 tires spin on dyno. Then skip to 3:00 for results and 2nd pull. Results at very end of vid.
