I know load carrying relies on many factors, tire type, suspension, but what is the stock carrying capacity (in pounds) for the 240 wagons? I pack a lot of stuff in my car a lot, and I have never really sat back and thought about what my max load should be. I assume Ive never gone over, well, more I am hoping I have never gone over.
Also, besides a B cam, which I believe is the one that ups low end power, is there anything I can do to up my low end torque. I have no real need for upper range HP, as I rarely go high range.

Re: Max Load Rating 245 (MenardVolvo)

letting it tach out to about 3500 isnt bad. the stock carrying capacity should be listed in the car, on the sticker on the passenger door, or drivers side b pillar.
if you carry alot of stuff in your car alot, you may want to consider ipds overload springs.
well, low end torque..... make sure the car is in good tune, the cam will help, or if you are feeling ever so daring and powerful, get youreslf the head off a B234, take it to a headshop to make sure its all good, and stick that on your tractor motor and smoke some tires! wait... no dont smoke any tires, that is bad for them.
the only other thing i can possibly think of is a diesel conversion, which is pricy big time (probably in the 5000 dollar range)
