Matching MOMO Shift Knob

Browsing eBay as usual.. came across this for a pretty good price. I must say it fits better than expected. It comes with various rubber bushings to fit the shifter and the smallest one fits the skinny top part of the shifter just right. The set screws go down on the thicker part of the shifter and grips extremely well. Very very pleased. What do you guys think?

Meh. I like the black Momo better, but still meh to me. I would definately not say it is a "matching" shift knob, but it is not the horrible pep boys look. A matching shift knob is the stock leather shift knob--the one with the cool blue stitching that matches the rest of the car's interior...just my opinion, which is not worth much to some, worth a lot to many many high paying clients.
I think itd look a bit sicker if it had the silver cf and like gunmetal underneath
not bad though

Doesn't look horrible but seems a bit too flashy for the R.

You're from Baltimore... Shouldn't you be at Max's enjoying some of the fine beer selections they have there?!

I have got to say I love the original shifter, it also feels great as you are bomming along shifting up specially 2nd to 3rd
Re: Matching MOMO Shift Knob (FRANCIS)

The mom knob reduces the shift throw and also feels much better as you can palm it and wrap your middle fingers around it.. no comparison to stock which make you shift pistol grip style which is a no no.

Hello,

How do you remove the gear shift ?
Thanks
Laurent
Re: Matching MOMO Shift Knob (Ladrouille)

Push down and turn counter clock-wise to remove the knob.
Re: Matching MOMO Shift Knob (mjaffe)

Just to clarify, to remove the stock knob you have to push down hard and turn 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and then pull up. Don't keep turning the knob after the first 1/4 turn.

Cheers,

J

Yea stock one is way too big and awkward. Pictures don't do the Momo knobs justice. They're made from a solid piece of aluminum or whatever metal it is, which gives them good weight and the quality is excellent.

I think I found a pretty good match--plus when you unscrew it, it doubles as a deadly weapon (it weighs over a pound!). Makes a much nicer counterweight for shifting than the stock knob.

I think it looks really good with the space ball, it's one of the best matches i've seen.

Re: (cmurphy2266)

Just yank it counter-clockwise. It will break loose and then pull up.
