Hello swedespeed,

New member here, so I get how one can get flamed... But I have been trying to dig up some info to my question.

I don't have the privilege of owning a Volvo, yet. I've been looking at the V70R's for a bit of time now as I'd like to get a wagon bigger than my 9-2x and I like the esoteric things in life. 馃檪

Could someone please let me know what causes the marring/scuffs/marks on the charge pipe (that goes over the engine)? I see quite a few of these with some sort of blemish on them near the top front section in pictures for V70R's for sale.

I'll be digging and hunting through the swedespeed forum prior to pulling the trigger to try and get more answers and be better educated.

Thank you,
James

The insulation blanket under the hood swells/droops down and rubs against the pipe.

Thanks for the replies, that's what I figured- it was from the hood insulation. Would it also be a possible indication that the engine mounts are perished?
