I'd prefer white because I've only seen white, red and black. I don't think I ever want a red car again and I'd like to avoid having a black (hobby) car again, so white seems to be the best option of the three. Also would much prefer buying from a private seller (taxes and provenance), but I'm coming to the conclusion that I will have to make some compromises or I'll just be forever looking.

Was I the only one who did not know the S60 had a long wheelbase option in the US?

We would have had a S60 Inscription if we hadn’t found an S80. The power rear shade is a cool feature.

I hate how if you want shades on S80s and nonInscription S60s that you're stuck with the push in shades (I have these) or having to buy a new parcel shelf and rear doorcards since they are integrated. On my P2R they just slot in. Volvo/Ford had to make it more difficult...
Did some test driving this weekend. I drove a V90CC with no options and liked it. I also drove an XC60 T8 (again no options). I’d really love a wagon, but the plug-in hybrid (with a good, long warranty) is definitely tempting.
I also made the mistake of driving a 2020 S60 Polestar. Now that really blew me out of the water. While I could make a car seat and stroller fit in an S60, it would be really silly to get rid of my TDI wagon for a less practical car WITH a (hefty) payment.

I can't find a lot of info on the KPAX cars. Are they desirable over a standard R-Design these days or is it a matter of liking those changes over the standard car? Apologies if that's a silly question. I saw that same car at Carmax and assumed someone had added the wheels and badges themselves until I came here and found a few details.

I live in a dead zone for interesting Volvo's. One might find a second hand V90CC to test drive but never in a million years all three of those cars.

No pics yet but appears to be a T6 V60 RD in rebel blue on the west coast. Apologies to @Sakurama who just drove one back from the east coast.
I'd absolutely love that, but that car payment would be about the same as the mortgage for my first house, so that's definitely off the table. haha
I was floored the see an XC60 Momentum T8 less than an hour from me, so I had to go test drive it. That dealer happened to get the S60 Polestar traded in the day before. Otherwise, this was two separate dealers each 45-60 minutes from my house.
The P* is definitely off the table. We've got my truck (for local trips) and my wife has an SUV though, so I'm thinking an non-Polestar S60 T8 might be on the table now. They're a lot of what I loved about the Polestar with waaaaay less of a price premium.

I think the desirability, like most things, is subjective. There is definitely an exclusivity factor since very few were produced, not to mention it being a collaboration with Volvo, so it isn't some 'key to the streets' mod.

If you can be gentle on the options, an S60 T8 can qualify for the federal $7,500 tax credit, putting a T8 with a couple options around the same price as a comparably equipped B5 AWD.
