So true
Will need to have a plate welded in there. Probably $400/side.View attachment 188198

I’ve been in communication as well and received these pictures of the strut tower. Any thoughts on how big an issue this is?

Yeah, as much as I like T5Ms, I have too many other projects I need to finish (both 240s and the 740 Turbo, plus my BMWs). It actually makes me feel better about mine, since I have no rust anywhere and it’s mechanically tip-top.I think I'd be out. I'm sure it's easily rectified, but not for me.
I agree, plus if the strut towers have that, I'd guess every chassis project would be just a little bit more complicated as you find more rusty bitsYeah, as much as I like T5Ms, I have too many other projects I need to finish (both 240s and the 740 Turbo, plus my BMWs). That was my response to the seller. I can’t take on another project right now. He honestly shared that he had some people look at it and they suggested replacing shock towers with good ones from a donor.Yeah, as much as I like T5Ms, I have too many other projects I need to finish (both 240s and the 740 Turbo, plus my BMWs). Oh cool, so we know production numbers? Where is this information found? It is possible indeed. I dont think they made more than 100 3.2 Executives. I know they made around 500 09-10 V8 Executives. T6s are about the same. I see more than V8s.
I have the largest resource of S80 V8 vins in the world. I've only focused on Executives though. So far the split is about 350 2010 V8s and 150 2009 V8s. Makes sense considering the MY09 cars came out right as the recession started.Oh cool, so we know production numbers? Where is this information found?
The majority of them are Factory Delivery cars. All of them are either base or super weirdly specced. The one below has everything, fridge, rear screens, acc, nav and all but no BLIS.
This one has BLIS, ACC, Nav and the lot but no fridge, rse or ABLs...see what I mean?
This one is fully base with nothing besides the required options to allow for the Executive package but it's an OSD car with Magic Blue paint which was not available on US market Executive cars.
Welcome to the world of quirky P3s. The rabbit hole has opened.![]()
Ruby Red 07-10 and Flamenco Red 12-13 were only available from OSD, yes. Finding a loaded S80 Executive in Cali is not hard. XC70s are though. Volvo's original S80 V8 Executive press car is in California still. Every option with Venator chrome wheels.OSD makes sense, and I believe the metallic red was only for OSD cars. Been searching for a 2010 Executive with everything or XC70 T6 with everything in California. It's very hard.
Was Caspian the only blue for Executive? I know the later facelift offered Magic.
I have seen and test driven a couple 2010 Executives this year, but they usually don't have ACC, and are ****ed up.Ruby Red 07-10 and Flamenco Red 12-13 were only available from OSD, yes. Executive's were only allowed Ember Black, Electric Silver, Pearl White and Savile Grey. I think 3.2s and maybe T6s were allowed nonmetallic colors but I could be wrong. They are very color limited. There's two Magic Blue V8 Executives. One was imported to Canada and the other was totaled in Seattle and exported to Lithuania.
I've sought after them heavily. That's why I have all the info on them. I knew there weren't a lot so why no try to find the best one? Still haven't found one for me though..I have seen and test driven a couple 2010 Executives this year, but they usually don't have ACC, and are ****ed up.
What is this color? Has to be OSD.
