Well I was just going by the Monroney (Irish!) saying it is 2015.5

You're probably right! That Steingold tool may not not be 100% accurate, and I'm a rookie when it comes to the real differences.

only getting a 2015.5 xc70 t6 plat if its got every possible option, low miles, and black/espresso interior... and that is more rare than finding the only other car i am interested in: v60 polestar

The Steingold tool is totally accurate. It's Volvo's Monroney Department that was asleep at the switch when they were printing MY15 stickers.

We spent a couple of hours going over this almost completely loaded (no hitch) 2017 V90CC back in late November, and even made a couple of offers on it. Now auctioned off to a Volvo dealer. When we looked at it the bottom lip of the front bumper had a scrape on the passenger side, photoshop, a different car, new bumper not sure. A garage kept example, 69 K miles at 33 K is a little rich IMHO. Last ask at the prior dealership (non-Volvo) was 31 K.

When in doubt, look at the center stack. No globe, no 15.5. Still a nice car, priced reasonably for an XC70.

A little birdy told me that there is a 20k mile perfect condition 2008 S80 for sale at Manheim Phoeniz AZ auction. Have to have an account with them though

It has an aftermarket shift knob cover on it also.

Maybe nothing, but as with seat covers one should be wary seeing that on a used car. What’s underneath may be pristine or it may be tore up.
