Just saw they updated the app with car location finally. This was unavailable for AAOS vehicles previously. So promising that we’ll get more in the future!

That's good news, but it's still not available on my Samsung. It just shows the old version and no update available. Maybe by tomorrow it will be showing available.

Indeed... the list is long.. very long... about 10 years long compared to my previous car
Perhaps they will do something about it that will not require to change the car in a year

just look it up on google maps on your phone or desktop, and it will show up in the car as a recent search, has never been easier.I have to admit that I though you could plan a trip and send it to the car... it only shows where the car is
I had this on my XC40 and really missed it, glad it is back, will look for the app update. Thx for the info

Yeah, I think you're missing the point. The issue is not about sending addresses to your car from your phone or desktop - the issue is using the map feature so you can locate your car. Let's say, for example, you went out to eat and you forgot to make a note of the sidestreet that you parked your car on.

I actually didn't think of that. However, I do have a separate account for the car so that I should remember to make a search when on that account.

Right, but I wasn't responding to you I was responding to the earlier point that looking it up on google maps would have the same function. It won't.
With regard to the search in google maps, I think a lot of us have multiple google accounts. Just make sure that, when you search in maps or the desktop, that you are using the same account as your car. I make that mistake all the time.

I know it's not the real solution, but there is a workaround for finding your car in Google maps.

I use a Samsung. My app version has the map location as well now.
Yes, it became available on Android before the end of November last year.
