I am restoring a 123GT, and in the process have ended up with a spare 1967 122 (mid-restoration), plus a ton of NOS parts. Apparently the 122's previous owner's idea of a restoration was to take his car apart, corner the market on NOS parts, and then put everything into storage.

I am using some of the new and better stuff from the 122, but the majority of it is for sale. The following is but a sampling--there is a lot more, and more will become available as my own restoration progresses, and as I sort through the mountain of parts. I really don't have a good handle of what much of it is worth. I have listed prices for a handful of items (probably a bit on the low side, but nevertheless negotiable) and am entertaining offers for the rest. If you don't see it listed here, just ask--I probably have it.

The best way to reach me is by phone (cell is 603-520-5188). Email is [email protected]. I am on the east coast, but the parts are on Whidbey Island, WA.

-B-18, 60K miles, rebuilt by a fanatic. Runs sweetly. $700 with SU carbs, generator, manifold, starter, etc., $500 without.
-M41 transmission with D-type overdrive. Drives fine, but history unknown. $700
-Complete interior. Excellent condition. tan. $500?
-Chrome Recaro seat recliners. Nice condition, but some pitting. $400 for both sets.
-Hood (Excellent)
-Trunk lid
-Bumpers
-Other chrome
-Steering wheel
-Glass
-Wheels
-Rear end/differential (2)
-Front rotors, calipers (2 sets of 2)
-Rear drums (2 sets)
-Some other body parts
-Nose
-Heater box, heater, heater control
-Speedometer clusters (2)
-Fuel tanks (2)

Anyway, give me a call if you need anything, on the list or not. As I said, I'm not sure of what prices to charge, so I simply expect you to do your Volvo duty and make me a fair offer if you're interested.

I JUST GOT HOME from Whidbey Island today, and there are a few things on your list that I would have liked and would fit in my carry-on.

Doh!

I have sold some of the bigger/more expensive items, but I'm still trying to clear out the rest. Of particular interest may be the Recaro seat adjusters (rare, $400/offer for the pair) and the M41 overdrive transmission ($500/offer). Give me a call: 603-520-5188. Email: [email protected]

I need a section of the body on the passenger side where the trunk floor meets the side panel. Is yours in good condition? Would it be possible to cut this section out so that I can patch my side panel? I could do the cutting if you are not around.

I could probably also use that trunk lid, windshield washer bottle, spare tire hold down... Do you still have these?

Hi Mike:

I'll check on the condition of the panel you're looking for and get back to you. Yes, the trunk lid is available, and I think I have a spare washer bottle. Did the Amazon have a ''hard" spare hold-down, or was it just a strap? I vaguely recall a strap, but I'll check. It may take me a day or two to get back to you.

No worries. I have a bit of vacation in October where I might be able to get up to your neck of the woods. I'll see if I can find an image of my rusted out area for reference.

All I have for the spare tire is a well and a tire to fill it. I don't even drive around with it because it flops around. Having a spare would probably be a good idea. I actually have no idea what it is supposed to look like.

MikeMeade:

Here you go--an absolutely authentic Amazon spare tire tie-down strap. I know the car and the owner (Michael), and I assure you that everything about the car is absolutely original and authentic--so you can be sure that the tie-down is the one delivered with the car. I have seen tired ones on ebay a couple of times. I could be wrong, but I don't think I have one for myself. If I find two I'll let you know.

P.S. Thanks, Michael!
