Manual Transmission Fluid - where's the filler plug located?

Hi,
I own a 2005 V50 T5 fwd with a manual transmission. Has anyone changed the fluid in their manual transmission themselves? If so would you give me a description of where the filler plug is? I believe I've found the drain plug (bottom of trans on drivers side) and found what could be the filler plug but am not sure. (also on the driver's side about mid-way up the transmission).
Also what fluid type did you use? Any suggestions for a sythetic fluid?
Thanks

Re: Manual Transmission Fluid (v50t5black)

Volvo uses a synthetic fluid API GL4 (whatever that means) should run about $18 for a 1ltr bottle from Volvo-hope this helps. Oh yeah part#1161745.
