manual boost control for 2.4t

I want more power to my 01 2.4t. I'm thinking about a manual boost control, plus some more upgrades. I've read though that increased boost can throw my ECU off and mess it up- is this correct? If so, what else can I do without spending tons of $$ to increase my car's power.

it works up to a point then throws everything off.

I would do softloader first and then see if you need anything else.

Yeah its a bit expensive but best bang for the buck

A MBC won't really work with the S60's computer. It will probably throw a code. What you can do is adjust your wastegate slightly.
