why honda? why? Please don't hire any more designers from GM.<p>I like the last TL, but never bought one because it's fwd. I was thinking - good job, finally get AWD for the TL, time to look into one. Then they pulled out this Saturn knock off. Have to wait for next gen again.

I think you've got to see it in person first, for some reason Honda's always look better in the flesh. In the web photo's it looks akward and tacky and will not age well; however, that is what I thought when I first saw the latest CTS on the web, now that I've spotted them around town I think their absoultly fantastic and a great American alternative to the BMW/MB/Lexus crowd.

I'm sure we'll get used to the looks even if we don't love it. Aside from that, plenty will sell because it is a very competent car. I just hate that it's even bigger and heavier, so it needs the thirstier 3.5L engine to keep up performance. The 3.2 could easily get 30mpg. Outstanding value.

We all of opinions. I'm not a fan of the grill, but I can't agree we anything else you write. The 04-08 TL is the best car they have made since the Legend and best looking as well, and I'd say it is better than the Legend against its respective competition. What's funny to me about this thread is that this is Volvo enthusiasts down on the looks of another group. We're not exactly known for having the best looking cars. That said, Volvo won a few design awards for the C30/C70/S80.

PP, I agree about the '04 TL. I am talking about new car debuts in the last couple of years. The Ridgline, yuck. The new MDX, ugh. The new TSX, fugly. The new CRV, definite step backwards. etc...
