Wouldn't mind seeing these on the R, would further clean up the already nice lines we have.
http://www.lafranceautoworks.c...s.php
Alas none for the R yet.

Re: Magic Touch door handles (vLGrok)

The window ones look cool, should work for any car. Only problem is if you get rid of the driver door lock you can't get in if the battery is dead...

Re: Magic Touch door handles (Kaizai)

What is done, (we do it on street rods), is to have a charge (jumper) wire loom hidden in the wheel well or somewhere like that so if a battery goes dead we can give it a jump

There ya go, buy the window ones and have a body shop fill all your door handels smooth and repaint all the doors.
Should be cheap.

Now we just need some doors like these:
http://www.carexcess.com/view_vdc.html?Kit=136
*drool* mmm...blue...

Ummm, ehhh...where's the security? It seems that anybody can wave their hands by the sensor and open the door?
I can't wait for these things to catch on. People won't own Escalades anymore - they'll just borrow them until someone else 'borrows' it from them!

if the battery is so dead to not open the door, chances are the car will not start and you would need to be jumped anyway.

Re: (R_Rated)

Could always be like the new Nissan Altima. All you have to do is have the key on you and the door unlocks when you get close. Don't even have to push a button. And it knows if the key is inside the car too.
And how someone can think that looks ricey is beyond me. It looks clean. Verticle doors...that is ricey.
