I bought a new MAF from IPD over the weekend for my 2001 volvo v70 2.4t bc the part was failing. The part on the site said it was for all 2001 turbos only, so automatically I assumed, bam, easy, click, buy!
however, i got the part in today and noticed the numbers aren't the same. THe one on the box from IPD reads: 0280-218-108. and the one currently in the car right now reads 0280-218-045.
So my question is, does it matter that it's different? Will it still work? Also, since there's an error code for this stored in the ECU, after I change the part, will it recognize it as a different part that now works and will automatically clear the code, or does it need to be manually cleared?

Re: MAF numbers not matching (timwu12)

That part should be fine. You can PM Lucky in case you have doubts, he'll double check for you.
You can disconnect your battery negative cable for some half an hour to let the ECU reset. That clears the codes.
man you got the part real quick!

hahaha, yah, i paid a little extra for priority shipping! haha
I'll try pulling the battery neg cable and letting it reset. But do you think you can run the codes again when I come to get my boost gauge installed to see if there are still any problems?
