Lynk & Co's Cyan Racing team has just announced the addition of a new driver for the 2019 FIA World Touring Car Cup. Three-time World Champ Andy Priaulx has signed a multi-year deal with the new team.

British driver Priaulx first started in touring cars back in 2001, in the BTCC. He won the World Touring Car Championship three years on the trot, from 2005-2007, behind the wheel of a BMW. More impressively, he also won the European Touring Car Championship in 2004. Since that series essentially became the WTCC in 2005, you could say he won it four times running.

Since 2016, Priaulx has been running with Ford Chip Ganassi in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

"Andy is a true touring car legend and his track record speaks for itself. His mix of experience and raw speed will be vital to us. We are glad to have him onboard for the 2019 WTCR season that looks to become one of the toughest ever," said Christian Dahl, CEO of Cyan Racing

Priaulx will join Yvan Muller and Thed Björk as the team's stable of drivers. Together, they have won eight World Titles in touring cars.

The team will run the Lynk & Co 03 TCR racer in the 2019 FIA WTCR series.
