I was reaching to get my wallet from my back pocket and I heard a loud noise come from within the seat and the lumbar went back into the seat and now the lumbar barely moves, any ideas what happened/how to fix?
Probably the lumbar support broke.<br>I've seen this with my parent's old 240. My dad ended up taking the seat out and opening the seat up to repair the lumbar support strap. Without taking the seat apart (not sure how in the s40/v50) you won't know what went wrong.

If your car is under warranty it would be covered id let the dealer dick with it. Otherwise pull off the upholstery and its more than likely either the spring or strap that broke. Could be replaced with something similar quite easily.
