Hi Red Rocket:
I bought the springs from
Sam Steffansson Auto. Advertised
drop is 35 mm, I would say that
this is pretty accurate.

Pretty nice....big pimpin' now.
How's the ride comfort? I wonder which brand of springs they are actually using.

With the bilsteins installed the ride is quite smooth.
I think the springs SAM carries are made by a German company. Hopefully they won't sag too much over time.
[This message has been edited by volvos70turbo (edited 06-06-2002).]

Looks great! Wish the rear of my V70R sat at the height yours sits...I have the IPD springs, but the Nivomats push the rear end up. I wish I had some sag now! The R nose looks sweet.

Pretty interesting...I never knew SAM's spring will lower the car that much. Is the ride a bit too soft for your taste or you think it could be a bit harder?

quote:
Originally posted by volvos70turbo:
With the bilsteins installed the ride is quite smooth.
I think the springs SAM carries are made by a German company. Before installing the shocks I got some rebound when hitting dips in the road.
I wouldn't call them soft, but definately more looks than all out performance.

quote:
Originally posted by The_one_n_only:
Pretty interesting...I never knew SAM's spring will lower the car that much. Thanks for the replies. I think I'm finally
done Unless...big brake kit, larger...VST carbon fiber lip
ps: The car finally handles like a semi-sport car with the OMP strut brace, bilstein shocks, and SAM springs.
[This message has been edited by volvos70turbo (edited 06-08-2002).]

The R front looks great on the sedan. I just need to convince my wife that we need to get our front bumper "repainted" because there are so many stone chips.
"It looks different." says the wife.
"Honey, I just added fog lights."

I wish I could make the rear of my V70R look like that just like deleonl1. I have not gotten springs because I was afraid that with the Nivomats it would actually raise the car. Anyone know how I can get rid of these damn Nivomats.

You could probably add the R bumper without her noticing. It is very subtle

quote:
Originally posted by 83caddy16v:
The R front looks great on the sedan. I may be wrong, but I think you can replace the nivomats with aftermarket shocks without any problems. I think IPD is having a sale on shocks either this month or next.

quote:
Originally posted by larryo108:
I wish I could make the rear of my V70R look like that just like deleonl1.
