While I had my car ('06 V70R) in the shop for a complete front bumper replacement (on the dealer) I noticed that there were what looked to be mounting points to bolt an engine cover too. Then when I looked under the loaner car (xc70) it had a lower cover.
Was my car supposed to have one? If not will this cover fit the 70R and will it make any difference in aerodynamics? I know that it will help keep the critters out of the belts and maybe keep the engine bay a little cleaner. But is it worth it? Anyone know where to find a part number for it?
Thanks, Matt
this is the cover in question from an '06 xc70:

and this is the rash that got me a new bumper, notice no cover:

Re: Lower Engine cover help aerodynamics? (Gilsdorf)

No cover for the R, heat dissapation, etc.
You don't gain any aero without it, well, maybe at 150!
