Recently my low oil light has been coming on. I checked the oil and it seems fine. I had the oil changed at the dealership about 3000k ago (so I don't think they would have put in the wrong amount). Has anybody had this issue?

Completely unhelpful but I've never had a low oil light come on in my car.

When you say it "seems" fine are you making an assumption or do you know for sure that it's fine? A low oil light would concern me even if I thought it "seemed" fine.

by "seems" I mean the oil level on the dipstip is where it should be, hence no "low level".

Faulty level sensors are not unheard of.

thanks, I have a feeling that's what it probably is. Hopefully it's not too expensive of a fix ( just went out of warranty)

Not sure if s80 has the same oil quality sensor system as my R. I have this light coming off, indicating that it's time for an oil change. Every 3000K sounds about right.
