Title says it all. No shaking in the steering wheel. makes no difference if I'm turning or going straight, accelerating or slowing down.

I can slightly feel it in the gas pedal, so it appears to be in the drive train. I'm suspicious of the drive shaft.

Suggestions?

My first knee jerk thought is wheel hubs. I only get around 100K out of a set, any idea the mileage on yours?

It was the driveshaft as I suspected. Got a like-new used one from my shop for $275, and problem solved.

Can't say enough good stuff about The Swedish Pit in South Burlington Vermont. They're great!

Good point JRL; I forgot to mention that was replaced at the same time as the driveshaft. The DS was obviously binding and worn out, but I guess the vibration source could have been that mount.

I had a vibration problem with a BMW 2002 years ago. Took extensive testing with a vibration meter and a strobe to pinpoint it to the new driveshaft that was defective.
