Strange thing happened twice last week while driving during periods of heavy rain, a very loud whine started coming from one of the wheel wells (I think it was the front passenger side).
It gets so loud that it hurts your ears while driving. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have a video on my cell phone; if I can figure out how to get it on here I will post it.
On a side note, this happened once in our XC90 as well during a heavy rain storm. I thought we had run over a branch or some other debris and it was stuck against the rotor.

Re: Loud whine from wheel well during heavy rain. (Haunter)

very likely rain squeal. Do a search to confirm symptoms; been discussed at great length here. If it is, dont get the dealer fix; remove the resonator in your exhaust and problem will be solved.
