I've had my R for about 6 months. Every thing runs great... but when it rains out it sounds like my exhaust is rubbing on the driveshaft. I'm not sure if that's what it is, but it's loud! I thought it might be a wheel bearing at first, but it sounds like it's coming from right under the front seats. And it only happens in heavy rain, or slushy snow.
Anybody else have this issue? solutions?
Thanks

Yeah, rain squeal. I've only had it happen once and was in city so just pulled off interstate and drove side streets home with no issue. never happened in the snow but we don't get that much in Columbus, Ohio. I haven't removed my resonator as I'm getting a new exhaust installed in a week or two.

Re: Loud screech when raining (torque junky)

As others have probably said by now; it's caused by your center resonator rubbing against your drive shaft. Easiest fix is to spend $75 and have your resonator removed and replaced with a straight piece of stainless steel. It fixes the problem and makes the car sound better--not too loud, just a little more aggressive--the way it should sound. Hope you survive the flaming and keep coming back for more.

No flaming welcome and good luck, don't spend more than $75 bucks though any decent muffler shop should be able to do what scrandall said..... Also get rid of that bracket!
