Hey guys
I'm considering the C70 since I want two cars. A daily driver (C70) and a weekend car (no volvo).
Is there anything I should be careful about? Any model year I should stay away from? Engine etc.?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Looking to buy a C70 (C70drvr)

Find a low mileage 98 c70 hpt coupe with a manual transmission and you have a great start.
Items to look out for:
1.) ABS control module will need to be rebuilt if TRACS and ABS light are on.
2.) Sunroof seal and window molding will probably need to be replaced to avoid leaking if all are original.
3.) Make sure AC is cold. AC evaporators are expensive to replace and know to fail with age.
4.) A sweet scent coming from the AC is a sign that the heater core is leaking. Also look for puddles or discolored carpet on the passenger side.
5.) Have an experienced volvo tech review the car.
Good luck.
