I already posted this in the regional forum but thought it might get more traffic here.

I am looking for a good independent Volvo shop to work on my 2004 V70R. I usually do my own work but just don't have the time. I am located in the Doylestown area. I have used the local dealer Keystone but have had way too many issues with the quality of the service and their rate is unreal for the lousy work. Too many loose bolts and other issues that I have had to deal with. There is Joe Davis Autosport in Perkasie, but they will not install parts that I already own. I have quite a few service parts and parts from IPD that I want installed. I am just looking for a good shop where I don't have to double check their work and they understand the car.

Anyone have some suggestions.

Thanks
Todd

If you already have a part a good shop should still be willing to do it for the additional fee they make when they purchase parts and waiving any warranty on the the work or part.

Steer clear of shops that want to be that douchey about not supplying the part IMHO.

Gee, I don't know ... I always check the work and often find things "loose", missing, or even tools left in the engine bay. You know the old saw: "You can have it cheap, fast, or right. Pick any two."

I don't know any indys near you. I used to visit a guy in Evansburg (W and a little S of you on Ridge Pike), and have had good dealings with CSE in Oreland, but they are far from you. I've developed a relationship with Sean at Keystone -- he's done more work on R's than anyone I know. Yes, I still find "loose" and "missing" bits, but I do this myself now and then. Somebody's perfect, but it's not anyone I've ever met. Have you spoken to Phuzy (Mat = http://www.phuzzymotorsports.com & www.facebook.com/phuzzymotorsports) ?

This is easy and not far away from you. Wahoud Motors in Hereford they are familiar with Rs and do good work. If I don't do it myself I take it to them. (215) 541-1370

x2 for wahound motors. They are a bit expensive, but they are extremely well versed in the world of R. If you want to make a trip to the poconos, Mareks auto centerin tobyhanna is also very good / reasonable rates, he charged me $700 to manual swap my old 850R. Very nice guy and again, he knows his volvos very well
