The Forge CBV Upgrade for the Mitsubishi TD04HL line of turbochargers features a piston/spring operated valve for maximum reliability. Whereas a rubber diaphragm can get brittle and potentially crack from overuse/aging, a piston style valve is much more durable. The CBV also has an enlarged recirculation valve to accommodate the increased boost/air flow from tuned engines, minimizing boost spiking, etc.
