Is there supposed to be a light illuminating the storage area that is behind the console on my 2012 S60 t5? This console area has the controls for the radio, menu, temperature control, etc. Mine is not illuminated back there. This week, I drove a 2012 S60 t5 that was illuminated. In looking behind the console area on my car, it appears there is what should be a bulb fixture. If there is supposed to be illumination (which would be very handy), how do I get to the bulb to replace it? (It never has been illuminated) Thanks in advance.

There is a light green bulb that kind of glows. Similar to the ones in the overhead switches.
Sitting in the drivers seat, reach behind with your left and and down near the bottom is
a slight indentation where the bulb is located. I have no idea how the bulb is replaced, but it
doesn't look easy.

Yes there is a light back there, at least on mine, built 12/2011. I was actually a little surprised to see that area illuminated as there isn't any illumination in the center armrest bin, which could use some. The light is most likely an LED similar to the one in the cup holder area. Looks like a bi-color amber/green LED. This could be a design change. Volvo may have decided to delete this feature. Could probably be added back but you would most likely have to take the center console apart to do it. If you find a part number for the lamp, let us know. I'd like to add one to the armrest bin :thumbup:
