Oh nice shots!
In the first pic, I know Athruc wanted to do a grill in the middle section, closest to the firewall. I would even be cool with two smaller vents taking the shape of those sections on either side of the that middle piece, again closes to the firewall.
I was even thinking about getting alittle more techy with it, maybe having louvres that close once the wipers come on?!?!

Search yielded me nothing but I did have fun reviewing the thread about the different bugs everyone has in their tail lights....I digress.
The placement of the flash green grills look amazing but I am not sure that the area below the openings will optimize airflow.
**Walking out to garage to check**
Passenger side vent is directly above the timing belt and alternator.
Driver side vent is directly above the stock air filter placement.

Yeah, not the greatest placement for functionality but for looks, I agree its awesome!
I'd be more for doing this to cool the engine bay than for an intake so the air filter location is a wash. I think Athruc's location would be ideal
But to my original question, does anyone actually make these? Or does one have to fabricate them oneself? I would think universal ones would do the job, no?

I think his name is Sam? They were one-offs and he still has the templates and mentioned the option of mailing them out.
Since they're done on the non-structured part of the hood, as seen by the S2000 shots in my post, you do not need the trim pieces.

To contrast look at the openings closer to the firewall.

I like the look of a grill in the opening furthest back. In theory the proximity of the opening would be ideal as it is directly above the turbo. In practicality (look at the picture) the false strut bar (engine mount holder...I'm not sure what to call it) blocks half the flow. The VIN plate is also located in this area and adds to the obstruction.
The middle opening might be the ideal placement. It is directly above the head and directly above the OTE pipe.

Ah man, you've known this all this time and never told me!!! LOL. Get'er done Adam! I think either the two sides or one over the middle would be money! If the guy already has the forms for the two, some of the work is already done! http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Yeah thats a major factor in place, water entry, unless you were to use a mechanical louvre or flap to open and close.
Those pics are photoshopped, including the headlight. Looks good tho huh!

As mentioned, the headlamp is a PS of what I'd like my current project to look similar to.
Rain entry really isn't a problem, as your engine sees much worse... I had been worried and have considered a draining mechanism, but there are plenty of folks who have done a LOT of cutting and just leave their engines almost entirely exposed.

I've had the Evolve hood vents for a while now along with the rear hood seal removed with no problems, summer or winter, from the water. Also wash the engine compartment(when I get time) and no problems. Not to mention if you drive in the rain, tons of water gets sprayed up all over the engine compartment. I wouldnt worry about the rain being an issue.

The edges look like dung on the close-ups, imo. and to have open vents like that in inclement weather...no go
