I am going to be doing a lot of travelling in the next few weeks in my 2.5t and I was surprised how many times I will have to fill up during my excursion according to gasbuddy.com. I was just curious if a larger gasoline tank exists for the xc90 or if anyone has modified theirs or added an auxiliary tank to benefit buying cheaper gasoline and more of it to save a few dollars in the long run.

Maybe you need to make stage 0 and double check that Everything is in perfect so you can save some mpg, spark plugs, coils, fps, fuel and air filters, tires, etc. If you have already done it, i think it will be hard to modify the tank.

I have to think the added cost and complexity of rigging up such a system would far outweigh the few cents per gallon of possible fuel savings. Unless you're planning a trek across the Sahara, the factory installed tank should hold plenty of fuel to get you to the next station.
